Luxor Temple

There are two main temples in the town of Luxor on the east bank of the Nile: Luxor and Karnak. An impressive avenue of Sphinxes still runs much of the way between them. The Luxor temple was built by Ramses II, New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty.
